Each track also has some unexpected obstacles that you would expect to find around a Hot Wheel track in a home. Players will also have a gas and brake control. Players will have control over the car’s direction which is mapped to the arrow keys. The tracks are full of twists and turns that provide the player with opportunities to perform awesome stunts. Cars have different speed and handling and each one will feel unique as you zip along the plastic track. Part of the challenge of Hot Wheels STD, is finding the right car for the right track. Each vehicle’s performance is modeled with statistics that make each car a unique driving experience. The games vehicles are more than just avatars. Initially, players will have access to only 4 tracks and 3 cars but, by meeting the challenges of the Championship mode players can access up to 12 real life vehicles and 6 tracks.

This will allow players to use all their unlocked vehicles on any of the game 6 tracks.

The third and final mode is a single race mode.
